Bank of Zurich: I’m looking at nine safety deposit boxes. Which one is James Joyce’s and how do I figure out its code?

To find out which is the box you are looking for, remember that James Joyce comments that it is “the box in the number of the Triskelion…”. To locate the code and open the safe, remember that Leonardo Pisano reveals the sequence in his book Liber Abaci.

Tip: search the internet for “Leonardo Fibonacci” and the “Fibonacci Succession” (11235).

Marta Simo’s Office

To find Marta Simo’s office in Triskelion and answer correctly, search for “Marta Simo” on Google then go to her LinkedIn profile to find out her address.

Attention: you do not need to have an account on LinkedIn. Open the page indicated in the image and scroll down.

Good luck!

Medallion: the map with three marks. What are the key cities?

The three marks correspond to the tombs of the three custodians. If you’ve come this far, you will know that you have to pay attention to the video lessons and review all the clues you find along the way in order to uncover the correct answers.

So you must first find out the cities in which the three custodians, James Joyce, Florence Nightingale, and Heinrich Hertz, died or are buried.

Slide the medallion over these cities and place the outer circle “eyes” over the dots for the corresponding cities. The “eye” in the medallion’s center will indicate a specific city where the treasure is located. Place the center in Cologne and the three legs in London, Zurich, and Hamburg.

Where is Lucilius buried?

To solve this exercise, search the Internet for “Lucius Annaeus Seneca” and find out in which city he died. To find out the exact place where he is buried, search the Internet for “Underground galleries that were used as a burial place.”.

Pyramid of Cheops: access and clue

Once you are in the Cheops pyramid scene, you must access the pyramid’s interior. Move the cursor around the building until you find a clue.

Inside the pyramid, search the walls for the next clue. The answer is a 4-digit code made up of two numbers (1 and 0). Good luck!

Where is Najaty?

To locate Najaty and do the exercise correctly, you’ll have to carefully read the letter written to Dalia. Najaty names the location “the seven pillars of wisdom.”

Tip: the answer is the name of a famous desert valley located in Jordan. Good luck!

Aleria: Investigate the archeological site

Once you are in the scene for Aleria, you will have to look around to find the secret entrance to the cave. It’s a secret for a reason: move the mouse around the Aleria’s archaeological excavations. Look at the image to help you.

Aleria: How to open the chest

Once you’re inside the cave, you must find a chest among the available objects. The chest has a rotating mechanism that you must turn.

Tip: match the letters (runes) L and F to open the mechanism. What will be inside the chest?

Which city is “the victorious”?

Just as Medina Azahara in early medieval Spain was called “the bright city,” “the victorious” has three triangle-shaped monuments, i.e. three pyramids.

Which city is famous for having three pyramids? Yes, it’s Cairo!

Remember: the “Great Pyramid of Giza” is the biggest of the three, built by the pharaoh Cheops.

Restaurant Kronenhalle

James Joyce leaves a clue in Petra that reads: “In a bank in Zurich, next to my favorite restaurant, you may find a safety deposit box with the number of the Triskelion. Fibonacci will help you open it.”

The restaurant James Joyce is talking about is called Kronenhalle, located on Rämistrasse Street, where he went for inspiration to write ‘Ulysses.’ Many Joyce fans now treat Kronenhalle as a place of pilgrimage.
